About PRAXIS Artists Talk Series

Praxis was launched in 2026 as part of Studio Space Ottawa's programme to expand beyond the provision of studios to working artists. As crucial as studios are, artists need more. They need to connect with other artists and the public, to build dialogue and community.

Praxis events are designed to be fast-paced, stimulating, and inclusive. They're lightly curated to ensure each Praxis represents a wide range of styles, approaches and perspectives. Events typically feature four artists who briefly present their work through images and dialogue. Praxis is free but seating is limited, so we strongly recommend reserving your place in advance.

Praxis is new and evolving. Praxis events are held quarterly and we encourage all artists in the Ottawa metropolitan region to participate. Praxis is grateful for the support we receive from the City of Ottawa.
